October was Black History Month and there were lots of events all over the Northwest. Certain workshops were media industry influenced and took place in Stockport Libraries for people of all ages and children to help create interest and develop talent. This included the ‘Beat on the Street’ event, at High Lane Library, for young people “A musical event aimed at young people aged 11-16. Come along and create your own soundtrack and beats, using the earliest recorded Black music and techno sound effects.
