CDNN interview Tahira Dar an ex MFPS ‘rising star’….
Hello Tahira, thanks for talking with us today, can you let us know a little about your current job and where you work?
I am a Broadcast Assistant in the BBC Radio Drama Department in Manchester.
What was your role whilst you were on the MFPS?
During the MPFS I was training to be a Broadcast Assistant in my current place of work.
How did you manage to secure your current role?
Whilst on the MPFS a job opportunity came up in the department 9 months into my 12 month traineeship. I applied and luckily got the job!
You have recently won an award, which award did you win and what was it for?
I won the BBC Audio and Music Award for Best Newcomer 2008. It’s a brand new category for the awards.
Who were you competing against?
Sorry not sure on their names… there were 4 people including me up for the award.
How did you feel about receiving the award?
I feel really happy about the award and was really grateful for my nomination. It’s been a great experience working here so to get an award for it is an added bonus!
Do we have to call you ‘lady Dar’ from now?
That’s not going on the website is it….?
Either way, the answer is yes, absolutely
Thanks Tahira and once again a big well done from all at CDNN!!!
